Global Vacation Hot Map 2020

Much of the world has been quickly stricken by panic, illness, stress, borderline insanity and untimely death, as the numbers of COVID-19 cases grow across the globe. Staycations are trending. If you’re frustrated by restrictions keeping your fun vacation plan on hold, here is a list of countries you can jet off to if you’re healthy to travel. Make sure your pets and family are ok with you potentially not coming back for a few weeks. Check out the safe itinerary zones in white here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/world-map.html

Vamonos to Mexico for Some Fun in the Sun

The window is closed for this popular destination specialty, as our health care system could be on the verge of collapse, since many are not following #dothefive. Perhaps Mexico in the end, will pay for that wall. The Mexican Deputy Health Minister Hugo Lopez-Gatell is flipping the “build a wall” script on Trump and looking to keep American’s out: "If it were technically necessary to consider mechanisms of restriction or stronger surveillance we would have to take into account not that Mexico would bring the virus to the United States, rather that the United States could bring it here," he told a news conference." As shared on Thomson Reuters: Mexico frets about U.S. coronavirus spread, could restrict border.

A Spa Get-Away to the Nordics

Europe is now the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the Nordic region is clean right? Surely you can find a cheap flight to Norway where the virus can’t thrive in a hot tub to indulge in some wellness travel. If you're even able to go, which you aren't, perhaps bring your Canada Maple Leaf hat and scarf and throw in an ‘eh’ here and there. Looks like they aren’t too keen on our own US hygiene and healthcare system these days. The farce may be up as the Independent reports: Coronavirus: Norway university urges students to return home from ‘poorly developed’ US.

Spring Wellness Retreat in Thailand

The Coronavirus has halted travel and tourism which the country depends on significantly. You should do a service to the country and visit it’s beautiful beaches, royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples of Buddha. You will have the country to yourself aside from a primate or 2. Just please mind the monkeys and listen to their demands, as the regional population has increased faster than the Coronavirus has in China: Starving monkey 'gangs' battle in Thailand as coronavirus keeps tourists away.

Longing to Correlate Italy for Pizza and Pasta Again

In all seriousness, as much as the world is an exciting and remarkable place to be please rethink all travel plans and put your Bucket List adventures on hold. We owe the world and society compassion and consideration. Each country is bracing for the worst medically, economically, and mentally.

Italy is a prime example of solidarity as the country grapples War-time triage conditions. As much as 50% of ICU patients are dying and hospitals are being shut down in order for citizens to die at home. It may be cheap and freeing to jump ship from your home and locality, where pressures urge citizens to stay near home. But instead, how about we remember our past travels fondly and think of the next trip we can take after we help one another first, #flattenthecurve.

Sending much love, peace, acceptance and resilience over the next few weeks to you.
